We need a fun Halloween book for October. There are so many good choices out there, but I wanted to find something from Yokota library, and if I have to be totally honest our library collection sucks. Even Camp Zama has better choices. (Also if you know me, then you know I'm a sucker for peaches and just looks at this cover) Hopefully this won't let me down.

Steel Magnolias meets Dracula in this New York Times best-selling horror novel about a women's book club that must do battle with a mysterious newcomer to their small Southern town.

Get ready for your new favorite YSC tradition - the “Make It, Fake It, Bake It” social! This fun-filled evening is all about creativity, friendship, and a little friendly competition as we support our club operations.

    Here’s how it works:
Please bring an item for the silent auction — you can make it, fake it, or bake it!

    • Make it: Handmade crafts, jewelry, candles, scarves, artwork, wreaths, holiday decorations, or any creative project you’d love to share.

    • Bake it: Cookies, brownies, pies, bread, jams, or a homemade dish - anything delicious and made with love! (Be sure to package it in a dish or container you’re happy to give away.)

    • Fake it: A store-bought treasure like a wine and cheese basket, cozy blanket, home décor, holiday ornaments, spa basket, coffee set, board game bundle, or even a favorite book or mug set.

Each member will receive 5 free tickets upon arrival. You’ll earn 5 extra tickets for each item you donate (up to 3 items total), and additional tickets will be available for purchase with cash at the event. (All items will be auctioned off via  opportunity drawings)

It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with good friends and great fun while supporting the Yokota Spouses’ Club. We can’t wait to see what everyone brings!
